@John: it's almost like the well is your reading screen and the water your receptacle. That's interesting =D I use a black mirror as my screen and either a crystal rose, or just a crystal when it's sticking.
Most of the time when i try to visualize a viewing receptacle it tends to we a floating vertical circle with the ends made of pure energy to act as its borders. But sometimes i get the image of staring down an old stone well (also circular) and i get my images from the waters surface. These are the two that seem to come with the least amount of effort, if any at all to maintain them. Usualy depends on my comitment and concentration wich one i get
It is really useful for me. I have been thinking why I could not continue "my study" here. I think I have felt small for the big tasks (practises), so I need some break and learn other but similar things, improve myself and then come back and do it.
Now, listening to you, I think that it can be working even for me... I really wanted to do everything how Debra writes it in the books but I felt it difficult. (I know she also writes, the viewing receptacle can be something else, not only crystal rose) So, I like the bubble idea. It can be imagined nice and clear, also can have lots of colours in it, can deform etc. so It is simple but also it is not. :D

Awesome John, I love the idea of the reflections. Like I said, a viewing receptacle can be anything, as long as you're comfortable with the images!
